Our approach: four steps, from diagnostic to handover
nuclai works in four steps: diagnostic, pilot, rollout, handover. The order is the same whether the process sits in finance or in communications. We read before we build, test before we roll out, and finish by handing the system to your team.
Step 1, the diagnostic, is a paid reading of a process as it actually runs. It happens before any tool is chosen.
Before it starts. A first conversation, held remotely and free of charge, sets the perimeter. It ends with an offer that fixes scope, duration and price. The diagnostic begins at signature.
What happens. We come to your offices and follow the work through the people who do it: interviews, screens, the files as they exist rather than as they are described. We then map the process end to end. We look at where the time goes, which steps carry judgement and which carry only repetition, and where a tool would hold and where it would break. The findings and the plan are presented in a working session, in the room.
What you receive. You get the process mapped, and a ranked list of the points where applied AI would earn its place, each with an expected gain, a cost and a risk. You also get what we advise leaving alone and why, plus a sequence whose first step is small enough to begin next month. In finance, the map follows each calculation from source to statement and names the controls that automation will require.
Paid or free. Paid. The fee is deducted in full from the engagement if you go ahead.
What you decide. Whether to continue, and with whom: nuclai, your own team or another firm. Or not at all.
Step 2, the pilot, puts a single workflow into service next to the way you work today, so the two can be compared on real files.
What happens. We build the first step the diagnostic ranked, inside the tools you already use. Your current process keeps running in parallel and nothing is switched off. Every output passes a human checkpoint before it leaves your team.
What you receive. A working workflow on your own data, compared with the starting point the diagnostic recorded wherever your data supports one.
What you decide. Extend, adjust or stop. A pilot that shows the gain is not there has still done its job.
Paid or free. Paid, quoted from the plan the diagnostic produced.
Step 3, the rollout, extends automation to the next workflows in the sequence, one after another rather than all at once.
What happens. Each workflow follows the order set by the diagnostic and goes live only once the previous one holds. The system produces drafts, calculations and summaries, and your team approves what goes out. Where the data allows, errors are corrected at the source rather than downstream, so every figure keeps a traceable path.
What you decide. The pace, and where to stop. The sequence is a recommendation, not a commitment to buy every step.
Paid or free. Paid, on a scope agreed before each stage.
Step 4, the handover, transfers technical and operational control of what we built to your team.
What happens. We train the people who will run the system, on their own cases. We hand over the documentation: instructions, calculation models, glossaries, data flows and hosting locations. The mechanics are stored with you and not locked into a tool. If you change LLM tomorrow, your team has the keys and the material to move the system across.
What you receive. A documented, readable system, and a team able to run and adjust it without us.
Paid or free. Part of the engagement, not an optional extra.
What stays with you, whatever the outcome
The plan is yours. Whatever the diagnostic produces can be carried out by nuclai, by your teams or by another firm.
“No” is a valid conclusion. If a process is already efficient, too unstable to automate, or held back by an organisational problem, we say so in writing, with the evidence.
You keep the map and the argument, and nothing further is sold to you.
Your data and your processes stay under your control.
In-house training is the one service booked directly, without a diagnostic.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. The first conversation is remote and free of charge. It sets the perimeter and ends with a written offer that fixes scope, duration and price. Billing starts only with the diagnostic, at signature.
Because the diagnostic is the work, not the sales pitch. Coming to your offices, following the process end to end and mapping it takes time and expertise. Charging a fixed fee keeps the reading independent of anything we might sell afterwards.
No. Automating the wrong task only produces the wrong result faster. The only exception is in-house training, which is booked directly.
No. The plan the diagnostic produces is written to be carried out by nuclai, by your own team or by another firm. You decide at the end of each step whether to continue.
As a rule, no. We build on the tools you already use. When software costs a great deal for the few functions you actually use, a bespoke application can replace it, but only if the diagnostic shows it is worth doing.
Your team does. They are trained during the handover and receive the full documentation: instructions, models, glossaries and data flows. Nothing stays locked on our side.

Tell us which process you want to change. The first conversation is free, and the offer that follows fixes scope, duration and price.
